Newsletter May 2015
2014 was a successful year for MOOG Cleaning Systems. Turnover in the Tank Washer and High Pressure Cleaner business units increased considerably. With half of our turnover generated outside Switzerland, the expansion of our export business made a decisive contribution to this welcome result.
We have big plans for 2015: Following a management reshuffle, we will further enhance our product and service portfolio, improve our internal processes, promote collaboration within the company and expand our market presence. Throughout this endeavour, our focus will remain firmly on product application in the various industries and on added value for our customers.
MOOG Cleaning Systems, a family-run enterprise, has been a pioneering technology leader in the field of high-pressure cleaning for more than 45 years – thanks to our perfect balance of progress and tradition combined with sustainable concepts and approaches. This makes us a dependable long-term partner to our trade customers.
Profile: Stefan Exner/CEO
Since March 1st, a new CEO has taken over the reins at MOOG Cleaning Systems: Stefan Exner has more than 20 years of experience in international sales and management of technological products. Before joining MOOG, he held positions as director, CEO and member of the board of directors in leading IT and manufacturing companies. Stefan Exner is a graduate business engineer with a special focus on mechanical engineering and commercial information technology.
Aside from spending time with his family, Stefan Exner likes sport (racing bike, mountain bike, skiing) and acoustic pleasures (jazz). He also enjoys a glass of good wine – the perfect basis for his professional interest in “barrel cleaning”.
Stefan Exner moved from Germany to Switzerland in 2004. For the last 10 years, he and his family – his wife and two grown-up daughters – have been living in Worb not far from the head office of MOOG Cleaning Systems.
A look back at Enomaq Zaragoza
Between 24 and 27 February 2015, MOOG Cleaning Systems presented its products and services at the Enomaq in Zaragoza (Spain). The wine industry trade show, one of the biggest in Europe on a par with Vinitech in Bordeaux, attracts over 25,000 trade visitors from Spain and Portugal as well as neighbouring countries
At the trade fair, our agent from Valencia, Erik Cervera Wahl, enjoyed the opportunity to talk shop with existing and prospective trade customers. Once again, numerous dealers from Spain and Portugal visited our stand.
The new H.S. series barrel cleaners, which had been premiered at the Vinitech 2014, were the highlight of our presentation in Zaragoza. To demonstrate the precision and operation of these efficient barrel cleaners, we had the hydraulically-driven BRA HD model run in a wooden barrel with a perspex bottom.
Information regarding upcoming trade fairs where MOOG products will be presented live are listed under ‘Agenda’.
Tank washer type R-2D
MOOG has designed a tank washer for cleaning specific tank sections or areas that operates with 2D instead of the conventional 3D movement. The spray head rotates around its own axis only, allowing the jet nozzles to clean in a circular motion. The angle, and hence the size of the cleaning circles, is infinitely adjustable.
The tank washers in the E, A and H series featuring the R-2D jet head can be used with up to 250 bar of operating pressure and a maximum water volume of 50 l/min.
The customer-specific model is available to all customers and dealers as of now; as a serial product, it is available in all conventional shaft lengths.
