Dear Customers and Partners,
Time flies, and the first half of 2016 is already at an end. This was a time for staff and organizational changes within the company: Five new employees started with us, and a new corporate structure was introduced in order to gear our enterprise towards future growth.
The demand for MOOG products in Switzerland has increased tangibly with a stronger presence in French-speaking Switzerland contributing to that as well. Developments abroad were very positive, in particular in the United States, Australia, Italy and France. In addition to the wine sector, we increasingly receive requests from the chemical, food and transportation sectors.
Stefan Exner, Managing Director
New Corporate Structure
The Peter Moog and Cie AG shareholders in April decided to split up the company to achieve greater flexibility for the planned growth period. The operative businesses, development, manufacturing, sales and service, and high-pressure cleaning systems were completely transferred to the newly established MOOG Cleaning Systems AG.
The present Peter Moog and Cie AG will take care of real estate assets and additionally assume responsibility for the administration of other properties. Due to the change in business focus, this company was concurrently renamed MOOG Immobilien AG.
Although the structure and the name have changed, the underlying approach of the company remains unaltered – the Moog family continues in its role as owner of both enterprises. All contracts with customers, dealers, suppliers and service providers were automatically transferred to the new MOOG Cleaning Systems AG and therefore do not need to be renegotiated. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
A Retrospect of the Craft Brewers Conference
MOOG Cleaning Systems together with ARS/Swash Sanitizing Equipment exhibited at the Craft Brewers Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 4 to 6 May 2016. With 835 exhibitors and 13,600 visitors, it is the most important exhibition for craft breweries, brew-houses and taverns in the North American market.
In addition to the ARS products (steam and high-pressure cleaners), we presented our barrel and tank cleaners. Visitors were able to experience the BRA Standard live. For breweries, which use wine or bourbon barrels for beer production, the BRA barrel cleaners are especially interesting. The standard small number of barrels can be cleaned quickly and effectively with these cleaners. The consistently creative beer brewers are very open to optimizing new technology and processes. These are the best conditions for further promoting our products throughout the beer industry.
We were able to greet visitors from the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Taiwan, Chile and Spain at our booth during this very interesting trade fair.
Three new employees, Lory Künzi, Anne-Lise Zwygart and Michel Perret, simultaneously assumed their new roles at MOOG in June.
On 1 June, Lory Künzi became the head of the finance and personnel department replacing Thomas Hofer, who left the company. She is supported by Anne-Lise Zwygart, who will focus primarily on bookkeeping. Both of these employees bring a great deal of experience to the finance department and will move this area forward accordingly.
Also, on 1 June, Michel Perret assumed new position in the Exports Sales Office. He contributes a lot of expe-rience in the international order handling of technical products and in the future will relieve the sales force most-ly of some of its administrative tasks so that there is more time available for a stronger presence in the foreign markets.
WO’XPO Auction is a Success
This year’s WO’XPO (local commercial trade fair) was for many a complete success despite the ice-cold condi-tions. Around 11,500 visitors received information and impressions about the regional businesses from Friday to Sunday.
At our popular booth, numerous visitors took part in the bidding for an impressive 1000l INOX tank during the trade fair.
The generous proceeds from this auction were contributed completely to the HC Wisle. The check was handed over personally by Ms. Monica Moog in time for the start of summer training.
The HC Wisle supports ice hockey at the junior level. It is a member of the Swiss Ice Hockey Association Regio League. As an organization in Worb, its training location is found in the Worb Wislepark. The HC Wisle devel-ops junior players for its partner teams, EHC Belp, EHC Boll, EHC Mirchel, SC Ursellen and EHC Worb. We wish the HC Wisle all the best and further success!
Nous souhaitons bonne chance au HC Wisle et beaucoup de succès!
